Sooo, remember how I said I would post my IPSY reviews earlier… forget that lol. I thought it made sense, but it actually doesn’t since I need time to try out the products. So, here’s my review of June’s box… after July has started 😅 .
Huda Beauty Basic B Sponge
Claims: Applies and blends all formulas to produce a flawless complexion.
My Experience: I meeean… it’s a sponge 🤷🏾♀️. It did what it said it would, but I don’t think it’s anything to phone home about. Most sponges on the market perform similarly as far as I’m concerned. If you need a comparison on weight/feel, this particular sponge is denser than a Beauty Blender and less dense than the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.
Purlisse Beauty Watermelon Energizing Aqua Balm
Claims: Moisturizes, soothes, and firms skin. Reduces inflammation.
My Experience: I honestly don’t know if it’s possible for me to rave about this product enough! It’s extremely lightweight and incredibly cooling on the skin. It absorbs like a dream and does not get tacky. I enjoy the watermelon scent, which is also very light and doesn’t last long. This balm definitely provides the perfect amount of moisture for the warmer months! I love it so much that I’ll be checking to see how it performs during the colder ones as well 😉.
Dr. Brandt Skincare Pores No More Luminizer Primer
Claims: Blurs the look of imperfections and pores while creating a glow.
My Experience: This bad boy right here is like an airbrush dream! It drastically reduced the appearance of my pores and made any area where applied look super smooth. My tinted moisturizer glided on top and face continued to feel weightless. It doesn’t do much for oil control, but it doesn’t claim to, so that’s fine. The primer also has ingredients like tea tree oil and lentil seed extract to treat the skin, which you would see with consistent, long term use.
Aracelli Beauty Ojos Perfectos Liquid Eyeliner in Night/Noche
Claims: Matte finish, smudge proof, long lasting, and water-resistant
My Experience: This did everything it promised. The felt tip applicator was sturdy and precise and created a nice, opaque line. The finish was matte and the liner stayed put when I forgot all about it and rubbed my eyes later (haha).
Hey Honey Take Away The Drama Youth Boosting Honey and Copper Peel Off Mask
Claims: Deeply exfoliates and removes blackheads leaving behind smooth skin with a radiant glow after a single use.
My Experience: I used this mask twice — once with a thin layer and another with a thick, even layer; however my results were the same both times. My skin definitely felt smooth to the touch, but I didn’t notice a difference in my blackheads after either use. I also didn’t see a glow 🤷🏾♀️.
Aaand that’s it for this month’s box! I hope this has been helpful for you. If you want to know any specifics about the products mentioned, leave your question in the comments section!
